JO1 announces 11th single ‘AAO’ and anime theme song

The Japanese boy group JO1 has announced the release of their 11th single, titled ‘AAO’, scheduled for November 18. In conjunction with the release, the group unveiled the anime-edition jacket art for the single.

The title track, ‘IGNITE’, will serve as the opening theme song for the ‘Tokyo Revengers: Three Deities Arc’ TV anime, which is set to begin broadcasting on October 2 on networks including MBS, TBS, CBC, and AT-X. The anime-edition cover art features the character Manjiro ‘Mikey’ Sano, reflecting the themes of the upcoming anime arc.

Ahead of the full single release, the digital track for ‘IGNITE’ is scheduled for early release on September 9, followed by the music video premiere on October 26. The single ‘AAO’ is described as an anthem of resilience, with the title standing for ‘Against All Odds’.
