Joaçaba job fair attracts over 1,100 participants
The second Job Fair for Young Apprentices and People with Disabilities (PCD) in Joaçaba and the surrounding region attracted 1,102 participants at the Pavilhão Frei Bruno on August 26. The event aimed to connect job seekers with companies, institutions, and public agencies.
Of the attendees, 839 were young people aged 14 to 24 seeking apprenticeship opportunities, while 30 participants with disabilities sought specific vacancies. The event featured 29 participating organizations and companies, including Aurora Coop, SENAC, SENAR, Unimed Meio Oeste, and the Regional Labor Court of the 12th Region, among others.
In addition to facilitating direct contact between candidates and employers, the fair enabled the issuance of four disability characterization reports, intended to improve access to inclusion policies and labor market integration.
