Joan Miró exhibition to launch Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture 2027

The Galleria Harry Bertoia in Pordenone will host a world-exclusive exhibition titled ‘Joan Miró: la poesia degli oggetti e della materia’ from January 22 to May 30, 2027. This event marks the beginning of the major programming for Pordenone as the Italian Capital of Culture 2027.

Developed in collaboration with the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona, the exhibition features 37 works of significant artistic value. This includes 20 pieces from Miró’s private collection, donated to the Barcelona museum, which will be exhibited for the first time ever, and 17 works that have never been shown in Italy before.

Curated by Véronique Dupas, the exhibition explores the relationship between art, poetry, objects, and materials. The display will be enhanced by photography, video, and an original contemporary soundtrack. The project is promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Municipality of Pordenone, produced by Suazes, with Crédit Agricole Italia serving as the main partner.
