Joanna de Assis joins Charla Podcast after leaving Globo

Journalist Joanna de Assis has joined Charla Podcast following her departure from Globo after a 20-year career. As a permanent member of the team, she will participate in regular programming and editorial initiatives.

De Assis will appear twice weekly on ‘Charla de Quinta’, a program focused on football news and opinions, and will produce exclusive content for the outlet's social media profiles. Her role includes long-term editorial planning, most notably leading the channel's coverage for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.

According to partner Bruno Cantarelli, the hiring is part of an effort to increase female representation in the podcast's broadcasts. De Assis previously held prominent roles at SporTV, including anchoring ‘Tá On’.
