Joanna Jabłczyńska raises over 576,000 PLN for charity following film dispute

A public dispute between actress Joanna Jabłczyńska and author/producer Katarzyna Grochola regarding the casting of the film sequel ‘Nigdy w życiu! 20 lat później’ has resulted in a significant charitable windfall. The conflict arose after Jabłczyńska was not cast in her former role, leading to a legal demand from Grochola for an apology and a 5,000 PLN donation to the Rak'n'Roll Foundation.

Jabłczyńska fulfilled these demands and subsequently launched her own fundraiser for the Rak'n'Roll Foundation. While the initial goal was 50,000 PLN, the campaign ultimately raised over 576,000 PLN due to massive public engagement. The Rak'n'Roll Foundation has officially expressed its gratitude for the support.

Amidst the controversy, Grochola suggested that internet algorithms and bots may have amplified the emotional intensity of the online discussion.
