Joao Felix excludes Vitinha and Joao Neves from ideal eleven

Portuguese forward Joao Felix has drawn attention after selecting an ideal eleven that excludes his national teammates Vitinha and Joao Neves. In an interview with AS, the Al-Nassr striker chose Pedri and Enzo Fernandez for his midfield, despite the high standing of the Paris Saint-Germain duo.

While Vitinha and Neves are viewed as highly complementary players under Luis Enrique at PSG, Portugal manager Jorge Jesus has utilized them differently. In recent Nations League fixtures, the two have not started together; Vitinha started against Wales while Neves appeared as a late substitute, and the roles were reversed in a match against Norway. Jesus has indicated that he views Vitinha's dynamic playing style differently than Enrique, preferring to use him in higher positions rather than a strictly defensive role.
