Joao Mario’s transfer to Fiorentina stalls amid Juventus‑Bologna talks

Juventus and Bologna are negotiating the future of right‑back Joao Mario, who returned to Juventus after a loan at Bologna, as part of the exchange that also involved defender Emil Holm. The clubs are trying to finalise permanent deals for both players, but financial terms remain unsettled. Fiorentina has expressed keen interest in Mario, adding pressure on the negotiations. Juventus reportedly values Mario at around €10 million, a figure that could be reduced with bonuses, while Fiorentina is prepared to make a bid if the two clubs cannot reach an agreement.

If discussions between Juventus and Bologna break down, Fiorentina may open talks directly with Juventus to bring Mario to Florence, positioning him as a possible replacement for the departing Dodo at the club.
