Joao Pedro seeks specialist treatment for knee injury

Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has been receiving treatment from a specialist in London to accelerate his recovery from a knee injury. The 25-year-old withdrew from the Brazil squad during the international break after experiencing discomfort following a match against Hull City on September 12.

While it remains unclear exactly when the striker will return, the injury is not expected to be long-term. A decision regarding his availability for the match against Bournemouth on October 10 has not yet been made. Pedro has been a key component of Chelsea’s attacking unit alongside Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers.

Chelsea is currently managing several other fitness concerns. Reece James and Moises Caicedo missed the international break, and Cole Palmer withdrew from England duty due to muscular pain and discomfort.
