Joaquin Niemann remains undecided on LIV Golf 2027 commitment
Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann has confirmed he has not yet committed to playing in the LIV Golf league for the 2027 season. Speaking after a tied-21st finish at the DP World Tour’s BMW PGA Championship in England, the 27-year-old stated, “No, nothing yet.”
Niemann, the captain of LIV Golf team Torque GC, has won a record nine individual tournament titles since joining the circuit in 2022. His comments come as the league considers a proposed 10-event schedule for 2027, which reportedly includes varying purse sizes. Niemann also noted that he has not participated in recent weekly player calls held by LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil, citing a desire to focus on his tournament schedule.
Following his performance at Wentworth, Niemann plans to take a three-month break to spend time with family in Chile and work on his game before returning to competition at the Australian Open in Melbourne this December.
