Joaquín Levinton cancels Turf shows due to illness
Joaquín Levinton, lead singer of the band Turf, has canceled upcoming performances due to health issues. The band announced the suspension of two scheduled shows: one in Minas, Uruguay, during the Semana de Lavalleja, and another in Casilda, Santa Fe.
According to official statements from the band and Levinton’s social media, the singer is suffering from a severe case of influenza and high fever. Medical professionals have ordered him to undergo a period of rest to recover.
These cancellations occur amid ongoing legal scrutiny for the musician. Levinton is currently facing a judicial investigation following allegations of sexual abuse and physical violence filed by a woman identified as Paula. The investigation, overseen by Judge Carlos Bruniard, includes allegations of non-consensual sexual acts and psychological violence. In response to the investigation, Levinton is expected to provide voice messages in which the complainant reportedly makes death threats against him.
