Job Fairs in Florianópolis and Campinas Hire Hundreds of Workers

The second edition of the Floripa Mais Empregos fair in Florianópolis recorded a historic hiring peak, with 773 candidates offered contracts, representing about 40% of the roughly 2,100 vacancies posted. Over 2,400 job seekers checked in, and the event featured opportunities across commerce, hospitality, construction, industry, transport and more. The fair, co‑organized by the city hall and SEST SENAT, also provided services for people with disabilities, apprentice programs and professional‑training guidance.

In Campinas, the 13th edition of the local employment fair is set for 8 May at Unisal Campinas, presenting more than 900 job openings from 16 participating firms. The most abundant openings are for logistics assistants (100 positions at Mercado Livre), while the highest advertised salary is R$ 3,074 for a butcher role. Attendees will undergo pre‑screening by the public employment support centre (CPAT) and can also receive entrepreneurship advice from SEBRAE, the Bank of the People and the International Organization for Migration.

Both fairs illustrate a strong push to match job seekers with employers in Brazil’s regional labor markets, offering immediate interview opportunities and auxiliary support services.
