Joby Aviation and Virgin Atlantic partner for UK electric air taxi services

At the Farnborough International Airshow, Joby Aviation and Virgin Atlantic finalized a definitive agreement to bring electric air taxi services to the United Kingdom. The multi-year commercial framework establishes Virgin Atlantic as Joby’s exclusive airline partner for air taxi services in the UK. This collaboration builds upon Joby’s existing partnership with Delta Air Lines, which holds a 49 percent stake in Virgin Atlantic.

Separately, Eve Air Mobility reported progress in its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft program. Following dozens of test flights since December 2025, the company plans to begin transition flight testing this quarter. Eve Air Mobility, backed by the industrial expertise of Embraer, expects to start manufacturing six conforming prototypes by the end of the year to continue the certification process.
