JOC Junior Olympic Cup: Ohashi and Kojima advance to 200m breaststroke final

At the 49th JOC Junior Olympic Cup Summer Swimming Competition held at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, 17-year-old swimmers Shin Ohashi and Yuki Kojima both qualified for the men's 200m breaststroke final. Ohashi secured the top seed in the CS class with a time of 2:13.58, while Kojima followed in second place with a time of 2:14.81.

Both athletes are representatives for the upcoming Asian Games in Nagoya and recently competed in the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. Ohashi previously set a new Japanese record in the 100m breaststroke, while Kojima earned a gold medal in the 200m backstroke at that event.

In a separate development, members of the Takagi Junior High School swimming club visited the Takagi Village office to report their successful performance at the 47th Hokushinetsu Junior High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet. Following their placements in relay and individual events, four students have qualified to compete in the JOC Junior Olympic Cup in Tokyo.
