Irad Ortiz Jr. rode six winners from twelve mounts at Saratoga on Saturday, matching the track’s all‑time record for victories on a single card. The feat places him alongside Hall of Fame riders Ramón Domínguez and John Velázquez, who previously set the mark in 2001 and twice in 2012. Ortiz’s wins came aboard Power of Women, Chambersville, Wynstock, Built (Alfred G. Vanderbilt Stakes, G2), Counting Stars (Coaching Club American Oaks, G1) and Leave Me.

After the race, Ortiz said, “They're the greatest – they are GOATs. I can't be more happier than what I am right now,” and added that confidence and perseverance helped his performance. Track announcer Frank Mirahmadi called him a future Hall of Fame inductee, prompting Ortiz to reply, “That's the goal, make it there.”
