Jockey Tim Clark seeks redemption on Gangsta Granny in Sydney Missile Stakes

Jockey Tim Clark will partner the Hawkes Racing mare Gangsta Granny in the Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200 m) at Rosehill, the first Sydney stakes race of the new term. Clark, who opened the season with a treble of wins, is aiming to improve on his previous ride on the horse, which finished third in last year’s Invitation.

Gangsta Granny has never finished outside the top three in 12 starts, securing two Group 3 victories and five black‑type placings. Clark credits the mare’s tenacity and the race‑programming expertise of Team Hawkes for the consistency. He expects the horse to be competitive against the colts and geldings in the upcoming stakes race.
