Jodhpur: Chaos at CJP event as activists scale walls

Chaos erupted at a program organized by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka at the Gandhi Shanti Pratishthan in Jodhpur on Sunday. During the dialogue session titled ‘Save Education, Save Country,’ individuals allegedly climbed over the boundary wall to enter the premises.

Witnesses reported that activists associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) entered the venue, leading to shouting and physical altercations, including reports of a person being slapped. Police intervened to prevent further clashes between groups.

Authorities detained several individuals for questioning, with reports varying between two and eleven people being held in custody. Following the disturbance, police increased security in the area and escorted Ashutosh Ranka from Jodhpur to Jaipur. While police confirmed the detention of individuals who scaled the wall, they noted that no formal complaint regarding physical assault had been filed with them at the time of the incident.
