Jodhpur family donates organs of nine-year-old girl after fatal accident

A nine-year-old girl, Anjali, donated her organs following her death after a road accident in Jodhpur, India. After being hit by a dumper truck on her way to school, she was admitted to AIIMS Jodhpur, where she was declared brain-dead on August 27.

Following counseling from transplant authorities, her family consented to the donation of her liver and two kidneys. One kidney and the liver were transported via a green corridor to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, while the remaining kidney was designated for a patient at AIIMS Jodhpur. This event marks the 12th cadaveric donation at the institution.
