Jodie Turner-Smith named in lawsuit over brother's alleged misconduct

Actress Jodie Turner-Smith has been named in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by three women, identified as Jane Does, who allege she facilitated the misconduct of her brother, Richard Mark Anthony Smith.

The plaintiffs accuse Richard Smith of sexual battery, false imprisonment, fraud, and drug dealing. They claim he hosted parties involving drugs and firearms and pressured women into non-consensual sexual encounters. One plaintiff alleged she exchanged sexual favors for housing in a residence that the suit claims was associated with Turner-Smith.

Turner-Smith is facing allegations of aiding and abetting, child endangerment, and negligence. The lawsuit contends she provided resources—including housing, financial support, and a vehicle allegedly used to transport narcotics—while having knowledge of her brother’s activities.

A representative for Turner-Smith has strongly denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit ‘fictional’ and an ‘abuse of the legal system’ perpetrated by someone harassing the actress.
