Jodie Whittaker cast in ITV legal drama In Contempt

Jodie Whittaker has been cast as Olivia Savareid, a high-stakes media barrister, in the upcoming ITV legal drama ‘In Contempt’. The series follows Savareid, a professional who specializes in protecting clients' reputations and managing multi-million pound litigation to prevent social media damage.

The plot centers on a professional misjudgment made by Savareid that puts her own reputation at risk. The drama also explores her challenging working relationship with Greg Dalman, a veteran news director for a London daily newspaper who often pushes publication boundaries.

Written by Steve Thompson and produced by Hartswood Films in association with ITV Studios, filming is scheduled to begin in London in autumn 2026. The series is intended for broadcast on ITV and STV, with streaming availability on ITVX and the STV Player. No premiere date has been announced.
