Jody Threat explains decision to seek release from TNA Wrestling

Professional wrestler Jody Threat has shared the reasons behind her decision to request a release from TNA Wrestling. Despite having a guaranteed contract that provided national television exposure and an American working visa, Threat chose to become a free agent to pursue specific career goals.

Threat stated that her primary motivation is to travel to Japan for an extended period to train in a dojo and wrestle extensively while she is still in peak physical condition. She noted that remaining under contract with TNA would have created legal barriers to this objective.

Following her release, Threat has joined Maple Leaf Pro, describing it as a “wintertime home.” She expressed her intention to pursue the Women’s Championship within the promotion.
