Joe Amabile provides health update following brain tumor surgery

Reality television personality Joe Amabile is recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor. Amabile, known for his appearances on the ‘Bachelor’ franchise and ‘Dancing with the Stars’, shared that doctors identified the tumor as a low-grade astrocytoma.

Following the procedure at NYU Langone Health, Amabile reported that his recovery has been progressing well. While he initially experienced difficulties with speech and pain, he has since been able to stop taking prescription painkillers. He noted that his prognosis is ‘fairly good’ but mentioned he will require daily medication for the rest of his life to manage the condition.

Amabile’s wife, Serena Pitt, has been assisting with his recovery and recently documented the removal of 23 surgical staples from his head, a process Amabile described as feeling like ‘nothing’.
