Joe Amabile recovers from brain surgery and prepares for NYC Marathon

Joe Amabile, a former star of ‘The Bachelor’, is recovering from brain surgery after a full-body MRI revealed a blueberry-sized glioma in his left frontal lobe. Amabile reported experiencing no prior symptoms before the discovery, which occurred after his wife, Serena Pitt, encouraged him to undergo a scan.

Following a craniotomy in September to remove the tumor, Amabile has navigated a difficult recovery process involving pain management and light sensitivity. To regain a sense of control during his rehabilitation, he has set a goal to run the TCS New York City Marathon on November 1, approximately three months after his procedure.
