Joe Amabile Reveals Early-Stage Brain Tumor Diagnosis and Upcoming Surgery

Reality‑TV personality Joe Amabile, known from The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise and Dancing with the Stars, announced on Instagram that doctors discovered a "blueberry‑size" lesion in his brain that appears to be an early‑stage glioma. The tumor was found after a full‑body MRI and a follow‑up brain scan prompted further investigation.

Amabile, 40, said the lesion is being treated as an early‑stage brain tumor and that he will undergo a craniotomy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York in two weeks to have the mass removed and biopsied. He described the news as unexpected, expressed a desire to stay positive, and thanked family, friends and fellow Bachelor Nation members for their support. His wife, Serena Pitt, and several former co‑contestants posted encouraging messages.

The diagnosis and planned surgery have been widely reported across entertainment and health outlets, highlighting the personal health challenge faced by the former contestant.
