Reality‑TV personality Joe Amabile, 40, known from "The Bachelor" and "Bachelor in Paradise," revealed he has an early‑stage glioma after a brain MRI uncovered a blueberry‑size lesion. He announced that he will undergo a craniotomy at Memorial Sloan Kettering later this month to remove and test the tumor.

On July 17 he posted a video on Instagram displaying a fresh buzz cut, captioning it “Might as well give them easy access.” His wife Serena Pitt praised the new look, and fellow reality‑TV alumni offered support. Amabile also discussed his diagnosis and upcoming surgery on the "Not Married to This" podcast.
