Joe Amabile updates fans on recovery after brain surgery

Reality television personality Joe Amabile, known for his appearances on ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, has shared updates regarding his recovery following brain surgery to remove a lesion.

Amabile revealed that doctors diagnosed him with a ‘very low grade astrocytoma’. To manage the condition, he will undergo daily medication for the rest of his life to prevent the cells from becoming malignant, alongside regular MRI monitoring. The 40-year-old reported that his recovery has exceeded expectations and that he has transitioned off most painkillers.

His wife, Serena Pitt, expressed gratitude toward the medical team at NYU Langone Health for their care during his hospitalization. Amabile had previously disclosed the discovery of the blueberry-sized lesion after undergoing a full-body scan.
