Joe Biden's aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis revealed by Jill Biden

Former first lady Jill Biden told Kelly Ripa that President Joe Biden began waking up seven times each night in early 2025, a symptom she raised with White House doctors but that was not acted upon. After leaving the White House in January 2025, she urged a second opinion, and in May 2025 the former president, now 83, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already spread to his bones.

Jill said the diagnosis was “shocking” given the extensive medical examinations he received while in office. She noted that current guidelines from the American Urological Association advise against routine prostate‑specific antigen testing for men over 70 because many cancers are slow‑growing, which she believes contributed to the missed detection. Joe now undergoes regular testing and treatment every three months and will “live with cancer” for the rest of his life.
