Joe Cole predicts Manchester City title win unless Arsenal signs Osimhen

Former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has predicted that Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season unless Arsenal secures the signing of striker Victor Osimhen before the transfer window closes.

Despite Arsenal winning the 2025-26 Premier League title by seven points, Cole argues that the club still lacks a top-level number nine. He noted that while Viktor Gyokeres was a leading scorer during the championship campaign, the absence of a clinical striker could remain a problem for Mikel Arteta’s side in their title defense.

Cole stated, “I think Manchester City win the title if they [Arsenal] don’t bring in a number nine because I still think that will be a problem for them.” He added that he would change his prediction to favor Arsenal if the club successfully signs Osimhen.
