Joe diGenova resigns from DOJ Trump conspiracy probe
Joe diGenova, a prominent Trump ally and former U.S. attorney, has resigned from his position at the Justice Department. He had been leading a sprawling investigation based in Florida into whether former law enforcement and intelligence officials engaged in a conspiracy against Donald Trump.
DiGenova's departure follows reported friction with Justice Department leadership and the White House regarding the pace and management of the probe. While diGenova characterized his exit as voluntary, sources indicated that officials had lost confidence in his ability to lead the inquiry effectively.
