Joe Gelhardt transfer to Hull City expected to net Leeds United profit

Leeds United is expected to secure a significant profit from the sale of forward Joe Gelhardt. After interest from several clubs, Hull City has reportedly reached an agreement to sign the 24-year-old.

Reports indicate that Leeds United is set to receive a total package of approximately £6.5 million from Hull City. This follows a successful loan spell for Gelhardt at Hull, where he played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League, recording 15 goals and three assists in 43 appearances.

While Wrexham and Birmingham City had previously shown interest in the England U21 international, Hull City emerged as the primary suitor. The sale allows Leeds to capitalize on the player's value as he enters the final year of his contract and is considered surplus to the current squad's requirements.
