Joe Hart defends Manchester City amid Premier League charges

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has expressed his confidence in the club’s innocence regarding reported Premier League financial rule breaches. Following reports that the club was found guilty of most of the 115 charges brought against them, Hart stated he has “no reason not to trust” chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Hart noted that he felt the chairman’s recent communications demonstrated a genuine care for the club. He emphasized that his own achievements during his 12-year tenure, which included two Premier League titles, remain untarnished by the ongoing legal process. Hart added, “I know what I did, I know what we did, and I know how it happened. It didn't feel like we were scheming or plotting.”

Khaldoon Al Mubarak has maintained a defiant stance, asserting that the Premier League process is ongoing and that the club remains committed to proving its innocence.
