Joe Miñoso Exits 'Chicago Fire' After 15 Seasons
Actor Joe Miñoso, who has portrayed firefighter Joe Cruz since the series debut in 2012, is leaving NBC’s drama Chicago Fire after 15 seasons. He will appear in a handful of episodes at the start of season 15, which premieres on October 7, to wrap up Cruz’s storyline – including the recent plot where his wife is expecting twins.
Miñoso was one of four original cast members still on the show, alongside Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg and Christian Stolte. Season 15 also brings other changes: Da’Vinchi joins the firehouse as a new firefighter, and Victor Teran replaces Andrea Newman as showrunner.
