Joe Neguse holds significant fundraising lead in Colorado race

Democratic incumbent Representative Joe Neguse is significantly outraising and outspending his Republican challenger, Kelley Anne Dennison, in the race for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District. According to Federal Election Commission filings as of October 14, Neguse has amassed over $3.3 million in donations and spent more than $2 million.

In contrast, Dennison has raised approximately $12,300 and spent $11,261. Dennison has acknowledged the financial disparity, stating her strategy focuses on community engagement and reaching unaffiliated voters to compensate for the incumbent’s advantages in funding and name recognition.

Analysis shows that roughly 57% of Neguse’s funding, totaling nearly $1.9 million, comes from individual donors. Other significant contributions have come from political action committees based in Colorado, California, New York, and Washington, D.C., including the Majority Fund. Corporate PACs from companies such as Amazon, Walmart, and Verizon have also contributed to his campaign.
