Joe Rogan criticizes refereeing decision at UFC Vegas 123

Joe Rogan has expressed strong disapproval regarding a refereeing decision made by Dan Miragliotta during the UFC Vegas 123 main event. The controversy occurred when Miragliotta stood up fighters Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan while Moicano was attempting a rear-naked choke.

Moments after the intervention, Nolan landed strikes that resulted in a TKO victory and a Performance of the Night bonus. Jon Anik reported that Rogan messaged Daniel Cormier stating, “It’s not a sport if refs can do that.”

While some spectators argued the decision led to a more exciting finish, Moicano later criticized the officiating. The official result remains a win for Nolan, though the incident has sparked debate regarding MMA officiating standards.
