Trump family faces scrutiny over crypto billions and Truth Social access

Podcaster Joe Rogan has voiced sharp criticism regarding the financial activities of Donald Trump and his family, specifically highlighting their involvement in the cryptocurrency sector. Rogan described the administration's crypto-related dealings as “nuts” and “shady,” noting that Trump reportedly earned approximately $1.4 billion from digital assets, including the Trump-Meme-Coin and World Liberty Financial. Some estimates suggest the family's total gains could reach $2.3 billion.

Beyond cryptocurrency, scrutiny has turned to Truth Social. A lawsuit filed by The Intercept and the Freedom of the Press Foundation alleges that the platform's Truth API—which reportedly allows users to pay up to $100,000 per month for high-speed access to the President's posts—violates the First and Fifth Amendments by providing preferential access to market-influencing information. Comedian Shane Gillis characterized this service as “literally insider trading.”

Additional reports have linked companies associated with Trump's sons to roughly $6.3 billion in Pentagon contracts. The White House has consistently rejected all allegations of conflicts of interest.
