Joe & Seph’s secures £100,000 Saudi Arabian export contract
London-based gourmet popcorn maker Joe & Seph’s has secured a £100,000 contract to supply Panda, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest supermarket chains. This represents the company’s largest export to date.
To mitigate the risks of entering a new market, the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) utilized an Export Insurance Policy from UK Export Finance (UKEF). The government-backed insurance covered 80% of the order against the risk of non-payment, providing the company with the necessary confidence to accept the deal.
Founded in 2010, Joe & Seph’s currently employs over 60 staff and exports to 32 countries. The company is now targeting further growth in the Middle East, the US, and Singapore.
