Joe-Warren Plant completes Berlin Marathon for mental health

Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren Plant completed the Berlin Marathon over the weekend to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation. Plant, who portrays Jacob Gallagher on the ITV soap opera, finished the course in 4 hours and 14 minutes.

Following his first marathon in Edinburgh last year, Plant noted that a difficult second half of his training prevented him from reaching his goal of a sub-four-hour finish. He described the event as one of the toughest physical challenges he has experienced and encouraged others to attempt a marathon in their lifetime.

Through his JustGiving page, Plant has raised £1,257 for the charity. He received praise from several co-stars on social media, including Emma Atkins and Laura Norton, for his achievement.
