Joe Zinnbauer appointed manager of Al-Hilal

Former Hamburger SV coach Joe Zinnbauer has been appointed as the new manager of the Sudanese club Al-Hilal. The 56-year-old has signed a contract with the 31-time national champions that runs until 2028.

Al-Hilal announced the appointment on social media, stating, "A new chapter begins. A new vision. A new challenge. We look forward to achieving great things together."

Zinnbauer's career has been highly international, with previous coaching roles at JS Kabylie in Algeria, al-Wahda in Saudi Arabia, Raja Casablanca in Morocco, Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia, Orlando Pirates in South Africa, and FC St. Gallen in Switzerland. His experience in Germany includes stints with VfL Oldenburg, Karlsruher SC, and a brief period with Hamburger SV between 2014 and 2015.
