Joel Alvarez Replaces Injured Geoff Neal for UFC 330 Bout

Spanish welterweight Joel Alvarez will step in for the injured Geoff Neal to face Chidi Njokuani on the UFC 330 undercard on Aug. 15. The fight will take place in New Jersey, where Alvarez has been training with Islam Makhachev’s camp.

Alvarez, who recently joined Makhachev’s team, comes into the bout with a 4‑win, 1‑loss stretch, including a unanimous decision win over Vicente Luque in his welterweight debut. Njokuani, seeking momentum after recent defeats, will look to capitalize on the opportunity.

The replacement bout adds depth to a card headlined by two title fights, with Makhachev defending his welterweight belt against Ian Machado Garry in the main event.
