Joel Camacho Sentenced to 30 Years for Smith County Murder

Joel Camacho pleaded guilty to murder in a 2017 Smith County, Texas robbery that left Michael Ross II critically injured. Ross died several years later, prompting prosecutors to upgrade the case from aggravated assault to murder. Camacho received a 30‑year prison term.
