Joel Houston predicts creative revival for Christian music

Joel Houston, a prominent figure known for his work with Hillsong UNITED, suggests that the Christian music industry is currently too cautious and is due for a creative revival. Houston noted that while his previous work broke through by blending influences like Radiohead and Blink-182, the industry has since become overly safe.

Through his solo project, AMXNradio, Houston is exploring a different musical direction, recently releasing the album "Silhouettes." He expressed optimism that a new generation of artists, influenced by streaming and TikTok, will challenge current conventions and bring fresh sounds to the genre.
