Recent comments from former K-pop idol Joel Lane, previously known as Jay, suggest the disbandment of the boy group BTL. The nine-member group debuted in 2014 with the track ‘Beyond The Limit’ and toured following their debut, but a planned 2015 comeback did not occur.
After their management company dissolved in 2016, group activities effectively ceased. Although four members briefly reunited in 2024 to participate in the survival program ‘Peak Time’, Lane’s recent interview with BNT indicates that the group's activities ended abruptly.
During the interview, Lane discussed his current work as a broadcaster and his aspirations in acting. He expressed lingering regrets regarding the sudden end of his idol career, stating, ‘My idol group’s activities ended so suddenly, so I’ve always had lingering feelings and regrets about being on stage.’ He noted a desire to perform dance music again if given a future opportunity.
