Joel Ulbricht sentenced for sexual touching offence

Joel Nathan Ulbricht, the former manager of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, has been sentenced following a guilty plea to a charge of sexually touching another person without consent.

During a hearing at Gosford Local Court on September 10, Judge Elizabeth Ellis handed Ulbricht a two-year Community Corrections Order (CCO) set to expire on September 9, 2028. The sentence includes a requirement for Ulbricht to perform 250 hours of community service and to abstain from alcohol for six months.

The charges followed an investigation by NSW Police regarding an incident in January. Ulbricht, 45, had previously held leadership positions with the Parkes Elvis Festival and Garma Festival. His employment with the Tamworth festival was concluded during his probationary period shortly before the charges were made public in July.
