Joelma warns buyers of legal trouble over mansion co‑owned with ex‑husband Ximbinha

Joelma Mendes da Silva has issued a legal warning that any sale or rental of the mansion in the Lago Azul condominium in Ananindeua, Pará, Brazil, requires the consent of both her and her former husband, Cledivan Almeida Farias (known as Ximbinha). Her attorneys cite a September 2022 court ruling that the property is jointly owned and that unilateral negotiations could be annulled by the courts.

The duo’s dispute intensified after journalist Felipeh Campos reported that Ximbinha had lost the home to a loan shark. Ximbinha refuted the claim, stating he has not taken loans from agiotas and that the rumor is false. Joelma’s legal team cautions prospective buyers that, without joint authorization, they may be unable to register the property in their name and could face “serious problems and difficulties in recovering their money.”
