Joey Logano expresses confidence ahead of NASCAR Chase

NASCAR driver Joey Logano expressed confidence heading into the 2026 Chase postseason, despite a new format and upcoming challenges at Darlington Raceway. Logano, a three-time Cup Series champion, enters the playoffs as the No. 9 seed with 2,035 points, trailing the No. 1 seed Denny Hamlin by 65 points.

Logano noted that the postseason is a grueling period, which he referred to as ‘10 weeks of hell.’ The current format removes previous points resets and the ability to automatically lock in spots through wins, requiring drivers to maintain high performance throughout the run.

While Logano has seen a significant turnaround during the summer—climbing from 20th in the standings to a comfortable postseason position following wins at North Wilkesboro and Richmond—he faces concerns regarding Darlington Raceway. His Team Penske Ford struggled significantly at the track in March, resulting in a 33rd-place finish. Logano stated he intends to approach the championship run ‘one race at a time.’
