Johari Abdul Ghani calls for mosques to strengthen community unity

Titiwangsa Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani has emphasized the need to strengthen mosques as platforms for community unity, knowledge dissemination, and youth development. Speaking at a Maulidur Rasul celebration at Masjid Jamek Kampung Baru, he noted that the role of the mosque should extend beyond worship to serve as a space for social interaction and building brotherhood.

Drawing parallels to the Prophet Muhammad’s migration to Madinah, Johari highlighted how the construction of the mosque helped unite the Muhajirin and Ansar communities. He stated that differences in background should not be barriers to society, but rather strengths when approached with mutual respect and cooperation.

Furthermore, he urged the community to manifest these values through daily actions, such as assisting neighbors in need, supporting families facing difficulties, and providing guidance to the younger generation.
