John Abraham honors late director Nishikant Kamat on ‘Force’ anniversary

Actor John Abraham marked the 15th anniversary of the action film ‘Force’ by sharing a tribute to its late director, Nishikant Kamat. In a social media post, Abraham expressed gratitude to Kamat, stating that the director pushed him to deliver his best and provided the film with its emotional core.

‘Force’ featured Abraham as ACP Yashvardhan of the Narcotics Control Bureau, with Genelia D'Souza in a leading role and Vidyut Jammwal making his Hindi film debut as the antagonist, Vishnu. The film was a remake of the 2003 Tamil movie ‘Kaakha Kaakha’.

Nishikant Kamat, known for directing socially rooted films such as ‘Drishyam’ and ‘Dombivali Fast’, passed away in August 2020 after a battle with liver cirrhosis.
