John Barnes advises Rio Ngumoha to focus on end product

Liverpool legend John Barnes has advised young attacker Rio Ngumoha to focus on consistent playing time and improving his end product to reach the next level of his career.

Barnes emphasized that while the 17-year-old possesses significant dribbling ability, he must prioritize scoring goals and creating chances to become a valuable asset to the team. He cautioned against the tendency to place excessive immediate pressure on young players to become world-class stars, suggesting instead that Ngumoha should be allowed to develop slowly and cement a regular place in the squad.

Ngumoha previously made headlines as Liverpool's youngest goalscorer during a Premier League match against Newcastle United and has already earned a senior England debut.
