John Craven shares final wish and reflections on farming
BBC presenter John Craven, 86, has expressed a wish to have his ashes scattered in Yorkshire, specifically on the top of Otley Chevin. Craven has presented the rural affairs program ‘Countryfile’ for 37 years since 1989 and previously worked on ‘Newsround’ for 17 years.
In recent discussions, Craven also reflected on the history of ‘Countryfile’, noting that it was initially difficult to gain access to farms and build trust with farmers. He highlighted the ongoing national challenge of balancing increased food production with environmental conservation goals.
