John Deere launches new DEX excavator line manufactured in Brazil
John Deere has launched its new DEX (Deere Excavators) line, marking the first generation of excavators developed entirely using the company’s own proprietary technology and engineering. The initial rollout includes the 210 P, 230 P, and 260 P models, which target the 20 to 26-ton segment.
Produced at the company’s industrial plant in Indaiatuba, Brazil, these machines are intended to serve both the Brazilian and broader Latin American markets. The equipment features advanced automation, connectivity, and technologies designed to improve operator precision, productivity, and safety. The new line follows more than 165,000 hours of global testing.
This launch represents a strategic shift for the company's Brazilian operations, which previously involved a US$ 180 million investment in the region. The DEX technology is expected to gradually migrate to other products within the company's portfolio. Additionally, the same models are being launched in the United States.
