John F Hunt invests £1.3m in Kubota excavator fleet

John F Hunt has placed a £1.3 million order for 26 Kubota excavators to support its fleet expansion across London and the South East. The order includes a variety of mini and midi models, ranging from the K008-5 micro to the KX085-5 midi excavators.

This acquisition marks the first major fleet order for BossPlant Sales since the opening of its Essex depot earlier this year. Martin Lavery, Managing Director of John F Hunt, noted that the investment is part of a broader strategy to grow the company's hire business, which now accounts for 80% of its operations. Lavery cited the reliability and strong residual values of Kubota machines as key factors in the decision.
